Overview
Grupa UNISEC manufactures fume hoods, lab tables, cabinets, and bespoke installations for universities, research institutes, and industrial labs. The brand traces its roots to Toruń's POLON-LABOR — once Poland's largest laboratory-equipment producer. The new site surfaces the full catalogue, explains materials (HPL, phenolic resin, epoxy, quartz-granite), and walks buyers through real lab builds at Polish universities and hospitals.
Challenge
Lab-equipment buyers are spec-driven — they compare data sheets, materials, and dimensions before contacting sales. The previous site was a brochure: heavy on stock photography, light on specifications, slow on mobile. We needed to reorganise the catalogue around how buyers actually shortlist (category → material → installation type) and prove the 20+ years of heritage without drowning the page in text.
Solution
Rebuilt on Next.js App Router with TypeScript and Tailwind. Every product category has its own page with real specifications, material options, and in-situ photos. The Realizacje section is a proper case-study gallery rather than a slideshow. Server-rendered for SEO, AVIF imagery with responsive <Image> srcsets, Lighthouse 95+ mobile.
Key features
- /01Category-driven catalogue
Each product category (fume hoods, island benches, cabinets, installations) has its own spec page — not just a gallery.
- /02Realizacje case studies
Real lab builds at Polish universities, research institutes, and hospital diagnostics — photographed on-site.
- /03Materials explainer
HPL, phenolic resin, epoxy, and quartz-granite explained with use-case guidance for each.
- /04Quote flow for custom builds
Buyers describe their lab; the form captures constraints and routes to the right sales contact.
- /05Polish-SEO first
Product + Organization schema.org markup, hreflang, OG images per category; indexed on first crawl.
Tech & stack
Next.js 15 App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS. Headless CMS (Sanity) so the UNISEC team publishes new Realizacje without touching the code. Deployed to Vercel behind Cloudflare for edge caching.
